SWA - if you have iron on there and you use IronX it will turn the soap purple and then you rinse off then follow with your regular wash and it will remove the iron.
SWA - I haven't used the Tech Wax but I love the DuraGloss stuff. Put it on both cars and the next morning after it cures and cross-hatches it is like silk and so smooth. It doesn't really flash white either so you don't have to worry about it gettin on your plastic all that much. So easy to take off. I've heard you can get it from most Napa Auto Parts and at that Green and white auto parts store with the Irish name...it is escaping me now. O'briens or something like that but that isn't it. Or at autogeek.
HA! man, I was out of it and thought when it turned purple it told you there was iron, not that it fixed it at the same time HAHAHA oh man.

I don't have the thread but I go into painful detail on how I do this task. The Meguires product you speak of is a synthetic wax/sealer. It does a nice job of protection but is VERY sensitive to proper application ---- if you put it on any other way than Thin it will be a 3 headed monster to get off!
To debordj--if you read many of my posts esp. about detailing you know that I don't just throw complements unless they are deserved. You have done well---now I wish you were here so we could put some real wax on it. Know it is hard to imagine but yes it is worth 90.00 a can. Actually will last about 20 to 25 wax jobs and it so easy to put on and take off. Next get the good equipment---cry once and get it over with.
Thanks so much for this link, So I will do that when I first get the truck and how often do you seal it? Or is the procedure every time? I always clay bar, polish, and wax my cars but never go further.
