I was thinking about maybe having fenders wrapped in gloss black vs having painted, thoughts ?

Probably better to wrap. It'll help combat the rock chips. Saw a truck with gloss black flares. I believe it's the truck that Eurotech Motorsports built.

Thx for info and I agree on rock chips.
I built my son a truck or should I say it was a team effort with his Limited and want it to differ a bit from his..
With the XD 2 piece Chop stix in gloss black and milled centers with chrome outers I think it would be a great contrast and keep with the Raptorish look..

BTW: just for ***** and giggles, I called some of the other MD Line-X shops in the area and you're absolutely correct...I was lied to. No such reg. in MD.

Thank gawd, they did a great job with black, but they're still lying POS.

Did you use regular Line X or Ultra?

Agreed, but according to the paint code, it's AG. And like the body color, it matches in some light and looks totally mismatched in other light.

But yeah, I'm glad it's black again.

Sorry OP, my intent wasn't to high jack the thread, just wanted to give a Line-X example of contrast vs matching for another perspective.

Purely personal preference either way.

Just to be clear the flares were linex color matched not painted right?

Line-x ultra would be great for the flares

Thanks for sharing, everyone. I get my truck back tomorrow or Friday morning - color matched flares, lower bumper and skid plate matching original bumper color, leveled and rear badge painted ... was a bit nervous, but after seeing all of the examples on here, I'm excited. I think I will have the look I wanted. Wheels are already black. pics to come.
