My 2020 802A is about to hit 70,000 miles. It's arguably the best vehicle I've owned and I still get a lot of enjoyment from driving it. It's been relatively problem free as a February 2020 build with regular oil changes and a few warranty/recalls addressed by my local dealer. Local dealer offered me $44k this morning when I was grabbing oil change supplies. I'm guessing a could squeeze slightly more than that out of a private sale with the truck being accident free, full binder of records, etc. The truck is Ford ESP to 2026 or 125,000 miles with the $0 deductible. They've got a coupe gently used 23's sitting on the lot that caught my eye. My question is as I approach higher mileage am I better off letting major services (shocks, suspension components, etc) be on the next owners maintenance list and start looking at a new truck?

lack of payments and better aftermarket parts has me keeping the Gen 2 likely forever.

Keep it. No payments or issues means a good Raptor

My local dealer wanted mine when I went in to buy a battery. To me, the Raptor is obviously about the off road capabilities but also a big selling point is the motor. And since they have bascially the same engine gen 2 vs 3 (except for the R of course), there isn't as much pull for me to "upgrade". I say stick with the current truck, it's done you right so far!

I'm in the keep it camp too. I also have a 2020 but slightly behind you at 64k miles. No issues with my truck - and with the PPF I put on it, the paint and such still looks real nice. The 'no payments' issue is important but that's a financing question, not a question on the value and reliability of the truck. As others have said, what is the attraction to a new(er) unit ? Some infotainment upgrades, lower miles.... ?? Whatever it is that you are attracted to, is that worth $35-40k ?? For me, it is not. I plan on holding onto mine until I either get suspension/brake problems (flooded in Helene), or I'm over 100k miles and suspect problems on the horizon. But, it's like picking a color, only you can say what is right for you, lol. Good luck.

Agreed, the fact that you have a 2020 is also great because its technically the best iteration and most problem free of the gen2 motor wise.

Some big players on FRF telling me to keep it, appreciate all of the opinions. It's been a fantastic vehicle serving me well on long highway hauls, beach driving, etc. I don't think I see myself driving anything besides a Raptor.

- My last loaner was a 2024 F150 XLT - the updated technology was certainly a treat. The truck also had the Blue Cruise feature. I haven't driven a Gen3 but I imagine handling is different with the suspension setup.

I have it stuck in my head that to keep it I should be:
- Servicing or upgrading shocks
- Moving to Deavers
- transmission filter / fluid service (NOT FLUSH)

Truck is stock performance/suspension wise. Decent amount of lighting, communications/technology modifications.
