I had the exact same symptoms until I switched to a lower temp Tstat. Now I run in the 190s.

My truck was showing as high as 240 and ranging from 230 to 240 when I was stepping down on the gas at highway speed (65-75miles) to do some quick acceleration. Ambient temp is around 70-90. Factory intercooler.

Really thinking about either put in the 170 stat or upgrade to the full race radiator. Definitely not both.

I personally think it's because of the shutters on my truck. Maybe remove couple slots will help.

I have both the full race intercooler and t stat, and my temps are the same as pre intercooler....

My 2018 tstat was 195, installed the spd 170...i am always at 170 to 185

I live here in Gilbert and I have towed quite a bit not with my raptor yet. Don't have enough miles on her yet. but I changed my antifreeze mixture from 50/50 To 80/20 water is much better drawing heat than coolant and it doesn't mess your motor up there was a article I read many years ago on this if I find it I'll send you the link. Also if your towing when it's colder you can just change back to 60/40 or whatever just adjust based on the temps. Also very hot here obviously so I only tow early morning when I'm heading up north.

True coolant sucks as an actual, well, coolant. It's thermal properties are terrible. It is there mostly for corrosion resistance and anti freeze properties. 100% water in there would be the most effective but then you have zero corrosion protection.

True but you wouldn't use 100 percent but I think a 70/30 would definitely help and still have plenty anti corrosion I didn't have any issues at all.

If we lived in places that never see freezing temperatures then we could run Water Wetter from Redline. It provides the anti-corrosion you need while running mostly distilled water for better cooling capacity.
