As far as I know you do not need to use that harness at all... The upfitter switches are fused and have high power relay... I am sure Bigj or others will chime in, if I am incorrect.

You don't need to use the light's fuses or relays since the Raptor's upfitters are already fused and relayed.

***BUT***

You need to make darn sure you're not over amping the circuit(s). We can help you figure out if you're safe or not if you want to list all the lights and which upfitter they're currently on/planned to be on?

Thanks for the info. Here's what I have installed, but I need to work on fuse replacement (maybe even change switch numbers).

Switch 4 = Vision X 4500 (2)
Switch 3 = Rigid Dually Spot (2)
Switch 2 = Rigid Dually Flood (2)
Switch 1 = Rigid 20" LED Light Bar (1)

I did the install today, without the harness. Let me know if I'm going to blow things up with my current setup.

Thanks!

Switch 4 = 10 amps available, 6 amps used (3amp per 4500)
Switch 3 = 15 amps available, 4 amps used (2amp per D2)
Switch 2 = 30 amps available, 4 amps used (2amp per D2)
Switch 1 = 30 amps available, 6 amps used (6amp per E Series 20")

You're in great shape, assuming the gauge of wire you used to connect the lights to the passthru wires is at least as large if not larger. If you used smaller wire, I would replace it.

Hope that helps!

Thanks BigJ. I used the wire that came hardwired with each light from the manufacturer.

I need to replace most of my fuses - since a number of them have too high amp ratings. Still don't know how to get the larger block fuses in lower than 20 amps (unless I use inline fuses).

HELP...

I installed 2 Vision X 4500 lights last night and they worked perfectly. Now the right light is randomly not turning ON with the switch. If the light comes ON, it stays ON. If it doesn't turn ON, it stays that way. I opened the hood and checked the wiring - good. I turned the lights ON and pulled and jiggled all of the wiring - good. 60% of the time they both turn ON, 40% only the left turns ON.

Also, sometimes the right one is slower to light than the good light. It comes on after a half second delay, and ramps up to full ON. Something is not right with this light, or its wires.

They are both wired to switch #4 with a 10 amp fuse.

Anyone have any idea of what's wrong? Could it be a bad ballast in the light?

Yep bad ballast. Maybe. Try this: try removing the left light from the circuit entirely. Now cycle the switch a dozen times. Does the right light fire every time?

I unplugged the left (good) light from the circuit. The right (bad) light still turns ON about 70% of the time.

I did notice a pattern of sorts - the light turns ON multiple times, then it starts to hesitate when I turn it ON, then the hesitation gets longer, then the light does not turn ON for several times. Then boom, it's back ON again.

Thoughts?

Sounds like you've got a wacky ballast. I woudl send the light back to whoever you got it from

I considered PMing Puddle Hunter, but I thought bringing this back up for all to benefit would be okay.

PH, did you have to cut more of the plastic cowl to be able to reach the threaded rod to screw the nut on? There is no way I can reach under the raptor mount to get the washer, lock washer and nut on. As it stands, I'm going to have to cut a ton more.

And I *****'ed it all up and the damn hood shifted, so now I need to F around with fixing that!

Any help or pointers would be great.
