Buying out of state might be an option if you're up for it. Subaru BRZs in SoCal were selling at MSRP (and some marked up $1-4k), no questions asked, and for the most part, still are. Anyway, I was able (if I wanted) to get a brand new one, exactly what I wanted from a dealer in Colorado, ship it back to me on a truck (or drive in back), and I would still be getting a better deal than SoCal dealers, yes that included airfare/gas. Do I know if it is the same for a Raptor, no. I'm just saying maybe a high volume Ford dealership lets say in Texas, maybe more fluid with money (and inventory) since they have 20 (just a random number) raptors on the lot, rather than the small Ford Dealership in Maryland who just got their second one in ever and have some emotional bond to it.
I would expand that 'radius' option on AutoTrader. Just a thought.
Either way, no matter how you get it, or how much you paid. Yea, you'll say it was worth every hour of waiting, and every cent.
