Ordered 7/26 - Allocaton #2 of 4 at the dealership

9/1 - after informing my dealership about what I read on this forum about the CF option I, I received confirmation from them that I should ditch the CF package to ensure prompt scheduling

12/13- Again, after informing my dealership about what I read on this forum about the beadlock wheels, I got confirmation several days later that beadlock wheels need to be removed to ensure scheduling

12/15 was assigned a VIN and build week of Jan 9

Note: During the week of 12/12, the dealer handling my order really went to bat for me and put a lot of effort into inquiring up the chain of command at Ford as to why my order had not been pulled. He provided me daily updates (sometimes a few updates per day) from 12/12 to 12/15 when the order was finally pulled. Most of us ordering know a lot more about the process than the dealers do and we often get wind of updates (e.g. the CF and Beadlock shortages) prior to it being widely known throughout the network of dealers and even the Ford Zone Reps (neither my dealer nor the Ford Zone rep knew about the beadlocks prior to me asking about it on 12/8). If you are inpatient like me, politely keep in touch with your dealer and inform them about what you find out on the forum. Mine appreciated learning from what I gleaned off the forum and it helps him to be more informed about this process so that he can be a better salesman for future customers.

You are correct in that dealerships seem to know far less than we do thanks to this forum. Ford has some serious customer service issues that they need to address!!!! So far I have not had one positive touch point with Ford. I know my issues do not compare in magnitude to many other people on this forum, but I am documenting them so prospective Ford buyers know what to expect before making their next purchase:
1) It all started with the dealership not being able to put my order in the day I gave them my deposit because their sales manager wasn’t working that day. There was some comment about them not knowing the final price until it was entered into the system, so it was a little frustrating to be handing over a check without knowing the final transaction details.
2) My order also couldn't be put into the system the next day because Ford's systems were supposedly down, so I had to wait yet another day for my order to be finalized.
3) I get conflicting information depending on which number I call to get updates?? They seem to eventually come to the same consensus, but in any given week, it can be very confusing trying to understand what is really going on and who to believe.
4) My truck passed inspection and was released to the shipping company on December 9th with delivery expected at the dealership between December 11th and December 17th (I live less than 4 hours from Detroit.). My truck still has not arrived as of December 19th with 100% no explanation???
5) My dealer told me on December 17th that my vehicle was being held like all other Raptors because of transmission issues. We all know that not all Raptors are being held. I have been clearly told by Ford that my truck was released to the shippers on the 9th and that it cleared inspection. In addition, it was built after the transmission issue had been resolved. The dealer was simply too lazy to look up my VIN, or giving them the benefit of doubt, they are unable to look up order details??
6) The buyer that I had for my current SUV backed out because he needed a full size SUV to go on a family trip this week and couldn't wait any longer. I couldn't hand over my daily driver until I receive my Raptor. He was very frustrated and gave me an earful due to Ford missing their delivery SLA.
7) I just got off the phone with Ford and they have no clue when my truck is scheduled to arrive at the dealership, they don't have access to who is shipping it (they state nobody, including the dealership, has access to this information), there is reportedly no way to escalate with the shipping company, etc...... What a joke!!!!!

FORD HAS SERIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES!!!!!!!

I think lot's of people are getting this status now. I called FP this morning and was told the same thing. He said he had about 200 calls already before mine asking for an update.

They must have released a pile of them over the weekend. I had been checking my vehicle visibility source multiple times a day for our first order and my truck (2nd order). As of Saturday the status hadn't changed. But this morning when I checked both of the trucks were released as of Saturday.

First order was built 10/14 and my truck was built 11/26

sorry as it may be posted somewhere but, where do I find this vehicle visibility source? I hate to be the 500th caller to FP today if I can just look it up... thanks.

Unfortunately that is a dealer accessible source only. Easily accessed by your salesman. Get his or her e-mail or text contact and ask them to check daily.

I have a list of my retail orders that I check daily for status changes.

Just heard back from my dealer for what its worth.

"I also got an answer back from my Ford rep this morning. They've completed all the updates and quality control on all the trucks. The delay with yours has more to do with the fact that it came off the assembly line as early as it did and just wind up at the back of a line of thousands of trucks waiting to get loaded up on the rail cars. They expect to have all these vehicles 1 trains by the end of the week@"

Take it for what its worth. Hopefully the info is legit.
