I just installed mine yesterday and love it! I picked the Bedrug up off Amazon Prime. The install took an hour, and now the bed has a nice look and is comfortable. I really want a Bakflip now!

I drove through a heavy downpour, it didn't take long to dry out.

Sounds good, Big Blue. Hope installation goes well. It seems you paid a bit overprice considering the BedTred is going for $380 and I thought the BedRug was supposed to be cheaper??

Anyways, I'll be looking forward to the pics!

Its the other way around, the bedrug is more than the bedtred and you cant get the bedtred with the tailgate step. And the bedrug with the step is more than the bedrug without the step. I checked a number of places, and this pricing was the best. Not to mention, they had a promotion for a free bedrug 2'X4' shop mat with the purchase, so I'm happy with the deal.

No tax or shipping, so It cost approx. $100 less than the Line-X premium that I was quoted. More to come. I hope this becomes a helpful thread for others like us that are looking for bed protection options. :peace:

wait, you can't get the bedtred with the tailgate step? Thats a bummer!

I was leaning towards the bedtred instead of the bedrug since my two HD's both have bedrugs and looking for something different for a change, but I really like the uniform look of the bedrug on everything.

Reptar, you can get the bedtred with the tailgate step, it just doesn't cover the tailgate at all, whereas the bedrug includes a fitted section that covers the tailgate and accomodates the grab bar.

Big Blue, thanks for clarification.

Reptar, I read on another forum that BedRug was in the works of a BedTred with a tailgate step addition. Not sure if the source is viable or if I can even find that source again...

comagt, thanks for sharing. Another source that says we don't NEED a tonneau!

yeah I figured that, and thats what I mean by that sucks. I'd prefer a fully uniform bed insert, and not missing the tailgate piece. A nice part about the bedrug is the tailgate part is attached to the bed part, so it closes that gap there when the tailgate is opened, you'll never drop anything between the tailgate and bed.

Thats good to hear it may be a potential. I'll try to email bedrug and find out if it's in the plans. I just need to make a decision by December.

Sorry, but spray ins are really scaring the shit outta me here and I really don't wanna spend over a grand for the whole tonneau and bedliner package.

I'm just not able to track your logic. You likely spent close to $50K for your truck but you don't want to spend $1K for a quality spray-in bed liner and tonneau cover?

Seriously?

I refuse to accept anything less than the best for my truck. It's too large of an investment of my money to "go cheap" on it when I add something to it. I chose the Line-X Premium liner for my Raptor and haven't even decided that I want to pursue a tonneau cover at this point. I have zero doubt that the Line-X will outlast the paint on the truck and it's far more durable, IMO, than any drop-in product.

I was planning on a spray-in from Line-X but with so few reviews from my nearby dealerships it really worries me about their quality of workmanship rather than the product. I am 100% sold that Line-X is the toughest shit out there for a bed liner. However, I plan on keeping this truck (my first and probably only) for a lifetime. This means that the quality of workmanship will show while I am still the owner. Whether the workmanship is superb or terrible, I do not want to take that risk at all. I'll be happy for a spray-in if I could get some reputable ratings of a Line-X dealership near the Metro Atlanta area.

Also, I wouldn't call it "cheaping" out. Yes, BedRug's alternatives are relatively cheaper than spray-in but the products aren't "cheap" themselves. They are also quality products just like Line-X. As for the tonneau cover, I really don't need/am not fond of having one. Seems that if I'm going to open the tailgate anyways why do I need one? I won't be storing anything back there that'll be of worth or easy to steal.

It's just unreasonable to take a risk by trusting my Raptor with someone I don't even know when the product I'm paying for is already unnecessary itself.

Feel free to share your opinion or continue persuading me into a spray-in cause I'd sure as hell like some reassurance.

^^^^ Agreed.

You can always get the bedrug, decide you dont like it (full 30 day refund) and go to the spray in bed liner....

You cant do the opposite. :waytogo:
