I had all kinds of issues with trying to use my PTT button on the steering wheel. Strait wire fell in between the wheel and the column. Curled mic cord worked better but still tried to get stuck and would bind up. I'm gonna wrap the velcro around my right index finger and put the button on the side.(I have a smaller PTT button) If I have issues with it at the TRR I was gonna put it on the shifter like you have.

Ohh did you upgrade to General yet? I passed my exam on tuesday.

Your not going to put lights under your truck are you?

Now that's just pain wrong, even for me!!!!` Take that as NO!! LOL, not like the pictures I saw of BJ Baldwins truck with green underlighting... sheeesh!!!

I have study guide for General, but the F'ing mod bug is consumming my time hi-hi. One of these days...:favorites13: Oh, it did enter my thoughts of the index finger deal, just have not tried it in real world to see what issues it may cause. The shifter location, am not a fan of as with dust on console and moving and bouncing will ugly it up quick....

I only studied for 1 and 1/2 weeks :Insane:

This is how I have my PTT setup. The little Yaesu box that is velcroed by the switches has up/down channel buttons. I can unhook the setup when not needed. Notice the splitter on the head unit so the regular mic can be used as well..
