Full Throttle OG
I was heading back to the office after lunch. I had a couple buddies with me, tunes cranked up in the Raptor. My wingman in the front seat looks down at the Mazda RX8 in the lane to our right. He tells me that the guy is looking over and creeping up to the line. His lane ends a few hundred feet ahead and he's clearly aiming to claim my lane. I inch the 35" BFG's forward, kindly letting Mr. RX8 know that he's going to have to work for it.
Doug is doubtful. He's a knowledgeable car guy and recognizes that the RX8 is reasonably quick... surely quicker than a 3+ ton 4x4 pickup truck.
The light shines green and Mr. RX8 hammers down on the throttle, the little triangle rotary under the hood flailing furiously, trying to build torque... any torque. No such problem in the Raptor. I brake-torqued the truck at the line and laid waste to the BFG's off the line. Mountains of torque ripped into the pavement and started dispatching the diminutive Mazda sports car. By the time the tires barked and announced second gear, I had nearly a truck length on him. To my surprise, I was able to creep away from him and increase my lead, leaving him plenty of room behind me to merge into my shadow. My buddies were shocked. I'm betting Mr. RX8 was more than stunned.
He made the next right hand turn, clearly heading for the nearest Mazda dealership to trade his sports car in for something capable of saving him from future embarrassment.![ROFLJest :ROFLJest: :ROFLJest:](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/ROFLJest.gif)
