One and ONLY gas mileage thread please

running the cheap gas with ethonol (87 octane) we average 14.7 mpg combined city/hwy
then mid grade: pulling a 28 foot enclosed trailer with a headwind 9 mpg
pulling above trailer with a mustang in it with the wind 10 mpg

we have a K&N drop in filter and a flowmaster catback exhaust.

Ran 17-18 mpg average with afe stage 2 & 5 star tune.

Ha ha. I'd feel like I was stealing if I ran 17-18. Ha ha. Need a 5 star.

Any warranty issues?

I averaged 13.3 MPG on a recent 5 hour drive with 90% highway... Granted I was Doing 75-80 for most of the highway. Maybe if I drove 60MPH I will get better mileage.

Oh I'm all stock too. Will look into dropping in a K&N filter. Filling up with cheap gas.

I drive 40 miles a day to work averaging 70 mph. 13.3 is the best I see. On the weekends it will drop to 13.2 during stop and go traffic. K&N drop in filter and ADD Venom bumper on front.

I do best at 68-74 mph. Seems to be the sweet spot for the tune.

But yes you need a tune/intake combo for sure!! I love my livewire ts w/ 5 star tunes and afe stage 2 CAI.

It will change your life and gas bill!!

It matters if you have a SCAB or SCREW. SCABS get better mpg. I'm averaging 12.5mpg. Screw.

Not sure if anyone else suggested this but makes sense. Ever since I went to mid perch I lost 1-2 mpg.
