I'm running 91 octane now exclusively. I do get better milage with it, back when I was calculating the numbers the 91 delivered 1-1.5 mpg better than 87 octane. I find the truck runs better on 91 as well. I live in a somewhat mountainous area where I can go from sea level to around 4500 feet in the course of a day, I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not in better performance with 91 octane.
I average 13.4 if I'm driving in town a lot and 15.3 on the highway at 75mph.
My truck is s 2010 6.2 on mid perch and 35's.

we still have non ethanol 89 at the pump here and most people i know that use it get better than ten percent increase in fuel mileage compared to the 89 with 10 percent ethanol crap. So what does the ethanol do again other than destroy fuel systems of non compatible vehicles

Unfortunately here in California, the tree hugger capital of the world, we have to deal with ethanol. And Prius'.

I have no idea what to expect, but I'd guess I'll be in the 12.x ~ 13.x range average as well... My Tacoma was 14.5 ~ 15.5 depending on doing around town or road trip. If I average 13.x (50% City - 50% Hwy), I'll be happy.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to add another Prius ******** to my truck... Got another one today.

e-30 not e-10 do you really want me to post about ethanol. I didn't think so. it's good or my truck would be wrecked by now and my 4 wheeler and every other engine I have I run e-30 in.

Regular (87oct) continues to be $3.35 while premium (93oct) is $4.10.. the mpg drop isn't enough to justify the price difference. So, 13mpg is all you guys are going to see from me until things change.
