87 vs. 91 Octane (again?)

Guys - kind of new to the Raptor world after having a supercharged F150 Harley truck. Been trying to figure out if I should use 91 (all we get in OK) or stay with 87 octane. The HD only used 91 or 93! Did some math to se if it makes sense to get the good stuff and the results are that if I can get 1.5 - 2 MPG more with 91 the cost per mile (not per tank) is the same or less.
Here's what I came up with - please excuse format error from cut & paste:
Gas price Gallons Cost MPG Miles C P M
Reg $3.31 36 $119.16 13.80 496.8 $0.240
Prem $3.57 36 $128.52 15.00 540.0 $0.238

Difference Impact
$0.26 $9.36

Gas price Gallons Cost MPG Miles C P M
Reg $3.59 36 $129.24 13.80 496.8 $0.260
Prem $3.78 36 $136.08 14.50 522.0 $0.261

Difference Impact
$0.19 $6.84

I personally use 87 but if you fell like you can go cheaper via higher octane content and utilize that extra fuel go for it. two tanks to use as a comparison should give you all the info you need to figure out what you want.

its probably because the 91 doesnt have ethanol.

no ethanol = better MPG.

I would never get no where near that many miles out of a full tank no matter what octane gas I use. . . Even when I baby it, I get about 12.X mpg but normally about 11 mpg

I dont know why
