There is a lot out there on this, and it is an issue with a lot of manufactures. Replacement gel pack on F-150 is what I had looked up.

Mine started doing this as well. Its a 2019 and this is the 2nd winter it has seen, it seems to have started when the temps started to drop below 50 degrees outside.

I love how the Ford service departments always act so shocked when you tell them the problem... either their employees have high turn around or they lie out their ass about common problems.
