I saw someone that removed the hard plastic cover from the GoPro and just mounted the camera to the suction cup mount on the inside of the windshield. Then ran a USB cable from the camera to a charging cord and plugged that into the dash. No more battery problems. It worked the whole time! The only thing he had to change out was the memory cards because he took so much footage. I personally ran the Wasabi brand batteries and got about 20/25 minutes per battery worth of footage on a full charge. Kinda crappy for a $400 camera and $30 batteries.

That's a good idea, maybe I'll mount it to the back of my lowrance and wire it in to the cigarette lighter port. It would be cool to mount the remote somewhere too, maybe on the steering wheel. Does anyone know if there is a way to remotely mark waypoints on the lowrance? Kinda hard to do without a copilot especiky when you're head is bouncing off the roof.

My gopro is brand new and the battery no longer works. The other two off brand batteries I got stayed good but damn even rotating between them wasn't long enough and the batteries always seem to die about 5 minutes BEFORE something good happens!

the go pro 3 will smoke the battery if you leave wifi on. with wifi I could only get about 20 minutes, with it off, I got at least a full lap. the go pro 2 could handle two laps before dying.

Did Noah install any leds or sound deafening before he put your door back on?

No I only thought of that when I was driving home.

Taking it slow on the first run with the "A" guys, in my stock truck.

At 2:12 is where I allow the truck to up shift to third gear. At 2:30 I reach top speed of about 85.
