I received an email from Ford earlier this month stating that my R build was delayed and that they would provide further updates as available. The sales guy I'm working with called Wednesday and said that they expect the truck to arrive early March.
Has anyone else had a similar experience where the updates from Ford didn't line up with what the dealer was saying? And what ultimately happened?

I hate to break it to you, but unless you have received a VIN and a scheduled production date from Ford via email, there is NO way for your salesman to know when you will receive your truck because it has not been scheduled. Unfortunately he’s leading you on.

Makes sense and I figured that was likely the case. I'm perfectly content with my 22 35 and just happened to get a call on the R from a dealer I contacted in my searching. I guess time will tell.

I picked up a R this week. First off, it’s simply amazing.
For the heated steering wheel debacle. Mine has the wheel with the element, but blank clock spring. I’m hopeful @BabaMike gets the full setup so I can get the clock spring part number.
And…the flag is on the side of the dash. Lol

Strange almost same week.
‘I’m definitely feeling lucked out.
Recap, I received my vin # Jan 05, 2023 no heated wheel.
@BabaMike received vin # Jan, 06 with a heated wheel. @BabaMike is in Canada. Who knows, this could have been the crossover date? Has anyone received a vin # after Jan 05 and if so, do you have a heated steering wheel? It's also possible Ford is giving Canada preferential treatment due to it being colder up there?

Sad news for me, good news for another

Was able to build the perfect avalanche Raptor R of no moonroof and graphics delete to match my 2017 avalanche SCAB of no moonroof and graphics delete.

It arrived on Thursday last week, but dealer changed mind and with a high ADM of $40k and said other California dealers were doing it.

I walked away. No way am I paying an ADM like that on a depreciating asset. This is no Porsche GT3RS.

I also heard it got sold to a SF Bay Area construction mogul.

I’m bummed but oh well.

Congrats to the new owner.
