What I can’t figure out is are R orders still being processed and scheduled or are the few we’ve seen here in this thread it for the first production run?

My dealer emailed and called me saying their zone rep asked for only one of their 3 allocations to build in this first cycle and he gave them my build. I haven’t seen an email with a VIN or production date yet but know my email is in the system because I got the initial order email.

Not in a rush either way, just seems this initial lot of R orders is a bigger mess than even the initial Gen 3 orders.

I think at this point I’m tapping out. Ford’s lack of transparency, continued push outs and overall lack of customer support are blinding. Even pivoting to a Gen3 seems a tall ask right now as dealers just lost their zones reps and they too can’t get a straight answer. I’m a Ford guy, loved my Gen2 and feel their strategic direction of not going all in on EVs like others is smart in this environment. That said I’ve been waiting like others for an opportunity that does not seem likely. Maybe after the fed moves 100 basis points this week demand will tighten. Even so, I’ve been let down too many time waiting for this rig. I get there are supply chain constraints everywhere. I went to BMW last week and I can order a new X series and have it delivered in 2.5 months. Hate the fact it won’t be a truck; however, it will scratch that itch I’ve had for over a year now.

Correct about BMW. We ordered a loaded X5 with almost all options on 8-15. Delivered 9-12. Picked up last Friday. Less than a month from start to finish. I ordered my Gen 3 Dec 2021 and finally got a vin this month with a 6K price increase. I was about to give up as well. Good luck!

So I must be the only one who ordered Carbonized Gray lol. No moonroof/tailgate pkg, spray in bedliner, and graphics delete. It is also showing on the dealer website today. Obviously this is a stock photo, but it looks way different then what Ford unveiled back in July. Aside from the lettering being backwards, no visible heat extractor, those headlights are way different. Wondering if this was an older concept rendering?
I ordered CG also
