LOL they had literally pulled it off the transit truck about 5 minutes before that pic, so it was indeed dirty. I happened to be driving home (dealer is around the corner), and they called to say it had just arrived. I stopped in since I was 2 minutes away.

Clean (Starbucks appropriate) pic attached. This truck is pretty awesome. It's as fast as my TRX, but in a different way. The power comes on different, and the R is noticeably lighter than the TRX. Almost no supercharger whine (I'm conflicted on whether I like that or not), and the power is seemingly constant as it goes through the gears. I'm extremely pleased with the transmission, which was a major cocern of mine. It shifts butter smooth and very fast. I was afraid it would shift like the POS 10-speed in the Gen 2 Raptors. Not the case at all.View attachment 389674View attachment 389675
Ok, how’d you get that into a parking garage? LoL

I’m sure Avalanche looks great in person but most of the pictures I’ve seen, I would think it was white if not told otherwise. Maybe that’s a personal problem.

I’m biased for Azure. Cavalry Blue was my favorite Toyota color and it’s the closest.
avalanche does not photo the way it looks

it's actually not that tall of a truck. That garage says 6'6" clearance, but the only low hanging sections are the damn signs that say 6'6" clearance, and they are 6" lower than any structures that might actually hit the top.

Can you elaborate more on the power delivery differences? I have a TRX and waiting on my R so need to live vicariously.
I'd say the transmission is smoother, and the power delivery is more linear than the TRX. As most of the comparison tests have shown, the two trucks are pretty equal in speed depending on how you are racing (roll vs. from stationary). The R feels like a more tame/civilized truck than the TRX. i'm not saying that is good or bad. Just different. Still love the TRX. It's going to be interesting to see if I end up liking one more than the other. I think I might give the TRX a slight edge in interior finish. I need more seat time in the R though to be sure.

The Raptor R rides better than the TRX as well. Not a crazy amount better, but feels a bit smoother/more refined. I love the way the TRX rides too, it's just the R is a bit nicer.

I’m hoping they have the manufacturing defects sorted out on the Fox shocks that the first half of the ‘22MY trucks dealt with (mine included). I’m going to be sorely disappointed if I get a six figure truck with all 4 shocks clunking again.
