Off roading in Florida

Had to jump a curb this morning so I could get my kids to school on time. Thats about as wild as off roading gets in South Florida LOL.

In the old days in South Florida we just headed out west to the Everglades and there was plenty of off roading. If you tried that now you would be driving through people's houses.

Haven’t lived down there for a while but there still has to be places off 27 near Griffin Rd. Weston/Southwest Ranches area...all up and down 27 to Krome Ave

Nah most of that along Griffin is long been built out. Maybe if you get deep off 27 In some parts you can find some play areas. There’s some areas in west Dade or Palm beach county. I can still remember off road areas where the BBT Center is now.

If they fix the crappy streets in Fort Lauderdale we won’t have much left locally to play on lol

my favorite lazy moment is going over the traffic circles and looking at the puzzled faces behind me disappear.

I was on my way to a fire station in the Redlands way out west down here and my iPhone map sent me down a dirt road that was like a Baja Whoopied whoop. Huge holes. My sweet Betsy didn’t mind. But a damn local in a old ass Saturn zig zagged his ass on the ridges of the holes like a champ. I just drove straight on through.

Even a person with a sub par vehicle that knows the terrain will get around it. Probably was more fun going over it!

I know there’s some decent open areas down there to get off roading.

Went to dinner in Nashville a few weeks ago. Valet parking only. Told me that there’s no way he can put my truck in his lot...”Too Big”. I told him I saw a spot that would work just fine. I pointed at the hillside behind his lot. He looked me like I was crazy. I told him to back up and move his valet stand a couple of feet to the left. I put the Raptor in 4H...and a 10 foot high climb later...I had a spot at the top of a small hill. His reply “I’ve gotta get me one of those!”
