Correct about the frame, but will be installing all Gen 2 suspension and Camburg Gen 2 coil buckets. Eventually we will find a rear axle to match the front width. Still cheaper and won’t pay the luxury tax or the higher insurance premiums. And still have the 5.0 motor.Heres what you wont get:

The shape, if you look at the aftermarket grill, its designed to replace the standard F150 grill, The oem grill requires you use the Raptor front bumper, lower trim piece. Look at a side by side picture and you'll see what I'm talking about. But back to the grills, what’s the big difference between OEM and aftermarket?
Thanks and I’ll pull up a picture of each model and compare. But we are planning on getting a OEM Raptor bumper. We already have fenders and headlight trim. The shape, if you look at the aftermarket grill, its designed to replace the standard F150 grill, The oem grill requires you use the Raptor front bumper, lower trim piece. isnt there another one that is DOOD and you have to get the F and RNot peanuts dude, its fair warning. the chinesium grilles spell food.....until you put the R on there....
i wonder how much will be spent on this build to get it to look like a raptor.....thats what youre getting at just buy a 2017 raptor.....but if the f150 he has now say he got it for a heck of a deal...or it was his and he gave it to his son...i guess i can see that kind of......or sell the f150...use that money to put towards the 2017 raptor....or a newer one...and just embrace the real deal vs it looks like a raptor.....i used to love it when i had my harley...and my buds that had victory or other bikes...would say my bike almost sounds like your harley....i said if you wanted the harley sound..buy a harley....because it may be close to sounding like a harley, its not a harley still...not saying the bikes they had sucked...but why get something to try and make it sound or be like something else...what was it mitch hedberg said "I hate turkeys. Some one needs to tell the turkey, 'man, just be yourself.'Indeed I am, my good man.
I get what your saying ,but at the end of the day our end goal is not have a Raptor replica down to the last nut and bolt. We do care to have the Raptor dash,electronics,etc..just doing the basic OEM suspension, fenders, grille, and hood up front,Deavers with shackles in the rear. That being said we will finish up well less price wise than buying a similar Gen Raptor. And ultimately we will have the Coyote 5.0 motor and registration of a F-150 that doesn’t carry the luxury tax associated to the Raptor that California likes to add to the Raptor registration.i wonder how much will be spent on this build to get it to look like a raptor.....thats what youre getting at just buy a 2017 raptor.....but if the f150 he has now say he got it for a heck of a deal...or it was his and he gave it to his son...i guess i can see that kind of......or sell the f150...use that money to put towards the 2017 raptor....or a newer one...and just embrace the real deal vs it looks like a raptor.....i used to love it when i had my harley...and my buds that had victory or other bikes...would say my bike almost sounds like your harley....i said if you wanted the harley sound..buy a harley....because it may be close to sounding like a harley, its not a harley still...not saying the bikes they had sucked...but why get something to try and make it sound or be like something else...what was it mitch hedberg said "I hate turkeys. I understand for sure, I wasn't knocking the project at all, I was truly just curious comparing the truck you have now and adding in all of the parts and figure labor as well, time in invaluable, but doing this project with your son is also invaluable so I get that for sure , I think that thought alone truly makes it a mute point. Parents don't spend enough true quality time with there kids anymore. I'm a high school coach and I know my role isn't just to be a coach, I am a father figure and mentor to these young men even if I truly only at one time only wanted to be a coach for the sports I love, we mature and realize the bigger picture through life experiences and failures of our own and honesty seeing others same journey as well. So I do get the project and it's really.more than the amount of money you will spend. I was truly just curious as to what you expect the final bill to be vs getting a raptor. BTW move from California or see if common sense comes back and maybe gets that state back to some sense of reality and being normal lol.I get what your saying ,but at the end of the day our end goal is not have a Raptor replica down to the last nut and bolt.
