Last year I took my son and youngest brother out to this spot a buddy of mine suggested. He's been going there for years and it's not too far off highway 447. We had so much fun its now an annual trip and this was our second year going back. We pulled a small trailer in this year to take some weight out of the Raptor. I have a my spare in the bed now so space is even tighter now. The desert got some serious rain in the last year and the road in was washed out with 2-3 foot drops into the ravine. We found a good spot to cross and followed someones else's tracks (probably a Jeep) but its a reminder how things can change drastically in the desert. It was night and we were going slow anyways but I have bombed this same road before at 75-90 mph! This is why pre-running is important.

We spent 4 days out in BLM land and did all the normal things you do in the desert. Last year we made it up Kumiva Peak but this year we headed east to the dry lake west of Black Mountain. 40.377586726960615, -119.08622868078561 I got out to 1000 yards with my 6.5 CM. The playa is the same at Black Rock so its just like Burning Man but no smelly hippies LOL.

These roads 40.34560368672755, -119.12766520007906 are awesome for high speed runs even with a stock Raptor. My truck was more than up for it and we found a good spot to get some air next year. Smoke from the fires clogged the desert skies so the pics are so so, it did help to keep the temps down though.

Looks like a great time, that trailer is nice, you get to bring a few comforts with you! Great pics and thanks for sharing.
Yeah cool little trailer. It's a 1945 Gemco and was made for a military Jeep. My sister-inlaw bought it with a 60's Bronco for $500 about 10 years ago. It's been sitting up at her parents ranch doing nothing since then so I fixed it up a bit, put some new tires on it and drug it out with us. For a short wheel base it towed really well although I can't see it behind my truck. We loaded it up a with all the camping stuff so we could leave other more expensive/important stuff in the bed down low and not have to unload/reload everything when we got there. It stayed at the camp and also provided additional anchor points for the shade structure. I'm now on the hunt for HMMWV trailer (M1101) for next years trip.
