Funny. It's a gutless hybrid that's long on style and very short on performance. MPGs aren't that great either (Honda says 37 MPG overall).

Fiesta wins going away based on cost, MPGs, American made, etc.

Your stupidity never fails to amaze me and the fact you that repeatedly prove it by not posting your own info but yet what you copy and pasted from what you find on the internet makes me lol. If you read the article they drive a car with CVT. If you know anything about but CVTs they are all gutless because of the nature of the transmission doesn't matter if its in a sled, quad or car. The CR-Z I drove was a 6sp manual car makes for a much different driving experience but you don't have to take my word on it. I think Rutledge of Top Gear does a good job at summing up the manual car.

The Fiesta is also safer if the ratings mean anything... and if the new Raptor "electric steering" works as good as the Fiesta's, it's a great improvement over the hydraulic assist of days gone by. The Fiesta is ridiculously easy to steer at parking speeds but has great road feel/feedback at higher speeds.

I got the top-end HB with the completely keyless option, leather, heated seats, ambient lighting, you name it, for what you'd pay for a stripped base-model CR-Z. I don't usually like small cars but this little Ford is impressive, fun, and economical... if I really wanted to I could flat tow it behind the Raptor too! LOL

I'm pretty sure the 6.2L have conventional power steering pumps. Nice thing about both cars is that FRPP and Mugen are both embracing these cars and have got things to improve them.

BTW I forgot this earlier but I'm about 99% sure that the Fiesta is built in Europe not in the US.

Actually, the US Fiesta is assembled in Mexico... but so are a lot of the Raptor assemblies.

Oh, and I don't have the FRPP suspension kit but I found it for only $220 + shipping and includes all 4 springs and 4 shocks/struts. Not a bad price. Still debating... bought this thing for commuting to work and running around town and I'll probably leave it stock.

I'm pretty sure the 2011 Raptor got the electric assist steering but I could be mistaken.

Edit: Just googled it... the F-150 gets the electric assist but not with the 6.2. You are correct.

I thought I saw an article about the first shipment of Fiestas coming in via ship from Europe. I'm sure FORDSVTPARTS on svtperformance.com can get you the kit for a lot cheaper his price is 10% over his cost of the part. You can pretty much blame the Super Duty for why the 6.2L have a conventional power steering pump.

My only gripe about the Fiesta and other cars like that is the FWD which I don't like at all (torque steer and handling issues to name two).

Torque steer LOLOLOL Whether it's a Fiesta, CR-Z, Cooper S, Cobalt SS, RSX Type S, SRT-4 or GTi FWD technology has come so far to where torque steer is all but eliminated. What are these handling problems you speak of?

Torque steer is not the problem it used to be... at least not on a 120 HP Fiesta! LOL It's small and light and handles well enough to be fun to drive.

And FWD actually has a theoretical handling advantage in some circumstances. But I agree with you because in my book nothing beats a high horsepower vehicle with RWD for the fun factor!

Man I used to have a '94 Altima 5 spd. and that thing was crazy scary under full throttle, especially if you were turning. You really didn't know where it was going to end up. Also had a '93 Accord 5 spd. with about the same hp and it had virtually no torque steer. Honda used to do a pretty good job engineering that out...don't know about lately.
