Here's my list:
Spare tire
Spare lug nuts
Torque wrench
Tool set
Spare tools (wrenches, Allen keys, etc)
Maybe a jack but I'm sure others will have some
Tow strap
First aid kit
Camping gear (tent, air mattress, sleeping bag etc)
Case of water
Food
Fire wood
Lighter
Extra clothes and boots
Warm jacket and pants
Gas cans
Tie down straps
Don't forget the oem funnel otherwise good luck trying to use gas cans to fuel up
Camera/gopro
Phone charger USB to charge in the truck while driving
Saw, shovel and axe if I can find one cheap oh and bolt cutters lol

I'm sure there's more to the list but this touches the majority...

We're going to head up Friday afternoon from Sacramento & stay in Willits. Is there a common hotel everyone is staying yet?

Too Close for Missiles, Switching to Guns!

I know myself and ice are staying at this place called baechtel inn sp? I'm going up Friday as well but going past willits to eureka to pick up my ride along/co pilot then back to willits around 5-6 grab a bite to eat then get a good nights rest for the next day of driving!

Things to bring...

Someone asked what they should bring here is what I thought of so far... Thanks joe...
Required Gear:
• 5 Gallons of extra fuel
• Recovery rope / strap – Rated for your vehicle AT LEAST 20 FEET
• (2) D-rings / shackles
• Spare Tire/repair kit at least one spare tire but better off with two

• Due to the adventure style of this run, radio communications will be extremely handy. VHF Radio Capable of two-way communications on the following MURS frequencies:
Channel 72 Marine radio or 156.625 Frequency

• Camping gear (tent / sleeping bag etc.)
• Flash light
• Proper Weather Attire – Plan on it being low 40’s at night.

If everyone brings some wood we will have enough...

Recommended Gear:
Helmets are highly recomended, if your vehicle is in motion you can bounce your skull of the A pillar very easily

• Off Highway GPS – Garmin, Lowrance, etc. (should have route upload capability)
• Floor Jack with wood blocks
• Shovel
• Fire extinguisher (Contact WSI for mounting solutions)
• Auxiliary lighting
• First aid kit – (Anyone a licensed medic?, but bring your own supplies)
• Bug repellent
• Camera / Go-pro
• Trail snacks / drinks
• Food for camp if desired*
Anything you think of please add to the list and Bigg50 can paste it to the first page...

Bechtel creek Inn... Willits ca...

Lol I knew I was close... It looks really nice, and ice has been there before and said its tucked away off the main roads so its a lil nicer than a motel 8... Average cost was around $100 for military and $115 normal rate

I added Icecobra's list to the first post.

This will be my first time doing this so a heads up on what to bring would be appreciated.

On this run I'd say you can get away with your regular camping essentials (tent, chairs, sleeping bag, lantern, etc), cooler, and food for the weekend. The lists Danactive and Icecobra are great to have, especially on the more hardcore runs (upcoming Reno run). But, between all of us we'll have plenty of recovery gear and tools should something happen. It would be a good idea to start accumulating them as you go though. A recovery strap and d rings are always a good thing to have anyway.

We are going to be running VHF radios but I realize not everyone has them and they're a bit pricey. We'll probably be running both VHF and your regular handheld walkie talkies. Unfortunately, these radios are not compatible with each other. As Icecobra mentioned earlier, the lead truck (me) and the trail truck will have VHF with the extra radios sprinkled amongst the group in the middle.
