Yes the headers were a challenge. Took me about 8 hours. And I have the lift and all the tools. Have done a lot of headers on various cars. These were definitely a challenge. Especially the header bolts. Not much room. Good luck.

a lift is really handy. and if some one has small hands. the manifold bolts are really hard to get at. 1/4 inch drive flexible sockets and extensions help. also gear drive wrenches help also. short and long ones. I removed the nuts off the manifold studs, then removed the studs from the heads, makes it easy to just slide the manifolds out from the bottom. removed the front driveshaft, right motor mount. I even removed the drive belt and dropped the compressor and let it hang to access the front header bolts when installing the headers. also the dipstick tube is a little hard to work around, at the time I did mine the directions were a little sketchy. but I hear the directions are better now. the hard part is the manifolds. the rest of the exhaust is pretty easy. be nice to have help, on mine I used the supplied sealer instead of a conventional gasket. so nice to have help holding the header in place to start the bolts. but the end result is worth it. I did the airraid cia and the 5 start tune from mike. what a difference it makes. I went with the full system the turbo chambered mufflers. and the under the bumper exit. like it a lot. best piece of advice is be patient and have a lot of time. hope this helps. and being stainless, after the snowball run just used some wd40 on a rag and cleans up like new again.

^^ My buddy at Ford said 18-24 lbs. I have Headers in the box I'm scared to try to put on... Nohel, great build man! Welcome home, I did the same thing when I got home from Afghanistan but my pallet included the truck. I look forward to seeing the finished product.
