The turbo noise in my 3.5 transit work van is WAY more noticeable than they are in my 19 Raptor. It’s a little disappointing. But then again, every noise in the work van is more noticeable.

It is a high roof, extended length, dually, with tow mirrors. Nothing I carry inside rattles but the road noise keeps me from using Bluetooth. While I’m comparing the two, I think I prefer the 6 speed over the 10 speed. It’s smoother and the turbos are always ready to spool.

Engine cover should be a good indication.
I edited the post.

Thanks. I didn’t realize they revised that. Also of note; Look at the intake piping from the air box to the split at the turbos. Seems more fluid and thicker. Same goes for the pipe to the right side turbo. Makes you wonder if AMS Boost Tubes still has the advantage over stock piping on the new trucks.

They are 2 different engines, hence the differences in noise and characteristics. 2017+ F-150 is Gen 2 EcoBoost, all Transits use the Gen 1 EcoBoost.
