No more pinstriping, and my fender flares look great in magnetic...

I am planning to do a lot of Offroading in my 2020 magnetic raptor… First couple times it out I got some really slight pinstriping… And I was able to buff it out. I read the plastic on the fender flares is really soft and scratches easily. I had California auto shield put PPF on both sides, fenders and door, and the fender flare. Went off-road today and it works great. Another benefit is that the fender flares match the magnetic paint perfectly now where before they were a little bit different color.

Yep, wrapping your truck makes all the sense in the world if you are going to actually use it

My wife thinks I only have 3 guns

Even if I did an off-road I think I would wrap the fender flares it makes them look like a glossy magnetic just like the rest of the truck , makes them look painted body color

The factory sprays the flares with a slightly less glossy clear coat. Buffing them with a mild cutting wheel and compound will bring out the shine also for a better match to the rest of your truck. I learned this while working out some deep pinstripes. If PPF is in the budget though, that's definitely the way to go.

Magnetic gray nightmare:893Chainsaw-Smilie-, apparently Ford used the bare minimum when clear coating these trucks. I have never had a vehicle that pinstriped as easily as my Raptor. Seems like they would spray a thicker clear coat being that a small % of these trucks would spend there time desert running, trail riding and offloading. Everytime i wash it i find more damn pinstripes. Unfortunately PPF isn't in my budget so I guess I'll have to deal with it until then:disgust:

I thought coating was NOT recommended for vehicles that are off-roaded. At least that’s what my local Modesta dealer told me.
