A windshield sunshade/heatshield would help prevent any dash cracking/fade, and keep temps down. It's a little bit of a PIA to put up everytime but in the summer you'll appreciate it when you get back in the truck.

As far as sealant/wax a sealant should be applied only as a base coat, and you can wax on top of it from time to time.

More permanent ideas would be coatings such as opticoat and glass coat.

I agree, don't deal with a cover, it'll scratch the paint unless the truck is perfectly clean underneath, and frankly it'll look ridiculous on such a big vehicle.

Is the sealant ok to put on the graphics and wraps? My truck is partially wrapped (hood, roof, and tailgate). Just wondering if that will be ok to use.

Adam's Polishes Quick Sealant is a good way to protect matte vinyl. It is optically clear and leaves no residue behind. It lasts a long time and won't wash off as long as you use a balanced Car Wash Shampoo. You can also use SVRT on matte vinyl, but it won't last as long as it will wash off to some degree. Would have to be applied more often.

If the vinyl is gloss, then you can use Liquid Paint Sealant or Wax. I typically use the Quick Sealant on my gloss vinyl, as it is easy to apply and does not build up on the edges of the vinyl. If you do use a sealant or wax on the gloss vinyl, careful so you don't get too much buildup on the edges of the vinyl. Hand wax this area with light pressure and just go over them once in each direction. Using the typical circular motions by hand, or a polishing machine, will load the edges up and it is hard to remove the residue (like having to scrape each edge with your fingernail).

Bah just keep a nice coating of mud on it, plus side is people park further away from you so they don't get dirty.

Another vote for using a windshield sunshade - it will limit the effects of being left in direct sunlight all day at work (ie - leather interior color fade, cracking, etc). :)
