No console, steering wheel lights

Hi all,

I have a 2012 Raptor and I searched and didn't come up with an answer to this. I've lost the lights for the center console, headlight switch, steering wheel controls and moon roof controls.

I've checked lots of fuses on the inside passenger side panel but they looked good. I checked fuses 2, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 18, 21, 23, 24, 29, 30, 32, 33, 34, 35, 37, 40 and 41. A list of what each fuse does is attached (with the checked fuses highlighted).

All my turn signals, dome lights, puddle lights, etc. work. Nothing else is effected besides the wheel controls, moon roof, headlight switch and center console lights.

Any ideas where to try next? Could the FET in the BCM be the cause? (see attached schematics)

Any help would be appreciated.

The lights on the radio buttons, climate control and nav system are working fine.

The lights are NOT working on the dimmer switch either.

I do have NavTV installed and it stopped working shortly after but that might just be a coincidence. I also added a couple LED lights to the same circuit as the shifter lights which I think is more likely a cause for this issue. The draw is minimal so it shouldn't have caused an issue (a few mA). The LEDs are disconnected now just as part of my troubleshooting.

Anyone know what the FET on pin 40 in the BCM is? ie. part number?

Alright, so i didn't have a chance to pull it apart this weekend and doesn't seem like anyone knows the FET part number.

Can anyone tell me if I replaced the whole BCM, does it need to be programmed or is it plug and play?

No, it is not plug and play. Dealer will need to "program" it with your truck.

I'd try uninstalling the NAvTV before I bought a new BCM

Just to update, I took apart the BCM and it's very difficult to try and replace the FET for the steering wheel and console lights (pics below). It is an issue with the BCM and I don't want to spend $1500 on a new one.

Can anyone tell me a wire or point that I can tap into that is hot only when the lights are on at night or turned on at the switch?

I'll tap into the power and power the voilet-grey wire (VLN04) on Pin 40 of connector C2280B at the BCM to power my steering wheel/console lights either through a relay or directly.

Were you ever able to resolve this issue? I have a 2011 that is experiencing the same problem as of today. Would like to know what your solution was.
