I ordered a set of rectangular fog lights from Amazon.
They sent me round ones made by the same manufacturer which cost the same on their web site at the time of purchase.
I asked for an exchange and they said that they'd only do a refund.
I checked their web site and they'd increased the price of the rectangular lights I ordered.
It took the better part of two weeks to resolve this, both via e-mail and on the phone, and they never even came close to admitting that they'd changed the price on the product in question and declined to follow their own exchange policy.
So I got my money back and ordered the same rectangular fog lights on special order from Advance Auto at a higher price.
I don't do business with cheats.

amazon kills small business' like mine as well. i have never ordered anything from them. its sad that having to pay to keep a shop open and maintaining a minimum purchase in order to keep dealer status means nothing when someone can go online and purchase items at or below dealer cost. at this rate a lot of small business' will be closed up.

back to the thread.......

with a 36 gallon gas tank, you definitely need something to keep YOUR gas in YOUR tank. but i will go to my local privately owned auto parts store, or ford

Never thought about it, but I see that Amazon hurts big business as well, look what they are doing to Best Buy, I see people go to best buy to touch and feel then run home to make the purchase on Amazon...once Amazon can do same day shipping...that might be the final nail in the coffin for Best Buy...

I guess that is why Best Buy is pushing their online site so much recently...

I never buy electronics from Amazon...I would rather pay a little more and the sales tax to know that I am getting what I ordered and if not got through the hassle Ruger explained.

Locking gas cap: 36g @ $6g = worth stealing

My printer My wife did but from Amazon just died after 2 months...so I guess that is it for her as well for electronics...

Point taken...

Given the unusual design of the gas "cap" on our Raptors, how difficult would it be to siphon gas from one? Has anyone experienced a gasoline theft?

Same as Walmart. They don't sell anything that you can't (and shouldn't) buy somewhere else.

Not just for putting small shops out of business, but for doing so in a crooked manner. Like losing money on something (ie - pharmacy), knowing you will spend money on something else in the store. I've known them to sell drugs at less than wholesale prices (before the $4 thing), in order to get people in the store. And once the competition from the local stores is eliminated, why not charge whatever they want - you have nowhere else to go.

Really irks me when people buy firearms or ammo from Walmart. They ain't exactly gonna be standing up for the 2nd Amendment anytime soon.

Sorry for my contribution to thread derailment. Locking cap sounds like a great idea in most environments (ie - where your truck is parked accessible to scumbags).

Aren't the Ford capless fill tanks equipped with the anti anti-siphon barrier? I don't think you can just stick a rubber hose down the fill tube. I'd be more concerned about someone taking a metal punch and poking a hole in the actual tank (if the anti-siphon mechanism exists).

They are equipped with something, since I tried to put some fuel treatment, i know, it just came out the underside all over the garage floor, but the funnel supplied works, so all someone would need is a plastic funnel and stick a hose inside the funnel...start sucking!

I would love to catch someone sucking gas out of my truck, they can would be swallowing not spitting...
