As of this time I have not put many on road miles on my dune grapplers, but I have 200 offroad miles from the raptor expedition toy run on them, first, they have about the same amount of dirt and rock traction as the BFG all terrains in my opinion, in the sand they just bite and pull you out, I stopped in a sand pit going up a hill, the truck was bogging bad but it pulled itself out without going into 4x4 at all, I don't have a ton of experience with them in mud, but the little I do have showed me that if you get the right speed these tires just float over the mud, you have no traction, but you don't get stuck either, and the most important thing in any offroad tire, durability and chunk resistance, I put these tires through the same punishment I did my all terrains and then some, plowed the sidewall into a large sharp rock, the sidewall bulged but didn't burst, and the rear tires have only small signs of chunking, the biggest chunk that came out of them is not even the size of a pea, the same punishment to the all terrains and I had chunks going all the way down to the cord, for offroad purposes I give the nitto dune grapplers an A-, mainly cause they didn't fall apart like the all terrains did but they can't be called perfect either

Great to hear they held up well for you. Sounds like another good option for folks. But, where are the pics haha!

Comparison of chunking, both of those are after about 200 miles of offroad abuse, the worst the BFGs got is not shown in that picture, I'll try to find it tonight or tomorrow

These are probably not the best choice for daily driving tires, more a cheaper alternative for a dedicated offroading tire that can handle abuse without coming apart, a lot of reviews say they have poor tread life, maybe caused by them starting with 14/32" tread depth versus BFG all terrain's 17/32" tread depth

I paid $250 per tire for mine, not sure how good of a deal that is or how much cheaper they are in comparison to whatever other tires I could choose from, but I know they're cheaper than BFG bajas

Lol, I barely even touched the brakes for that, I did test the stopping distance in the same terrain later on and let's just say if I had slammed on the brakes when that happened I would've avoided the side of the cliff by 6-8 feet instead of glancing off it, I'll test my stopping distance on pavement next time I'm out though

I was thinking at the time if I slammed the brakes I would've just slid into the wall and if I just feathered them a bit I would be able to turn out of it, sand didn't let me turn anyways so I would've been better off just locking them up
