Well... If its "about" 1400 miles and 22 hours as stated from Halifax that puts it "near" Windsor Ontario which borders Detroit or if I went below the lakes through the US it would be closest to the east.
I know from Halifax to silver lake dunes is about 26 hours if I go through Quebec and Ontario and cross just north of Detroit linking too interstate 69. 28 if I go to mass then cut through New York and back in Ontario to Michigan and across..
Now, google maps is claiming 23.5 hours from my home to the border crossing in to Michigan which I would call "about". Around this area is port Huron(border), fort gratiot, smiths creek, Columbus, goodells, Memphis, emmett, avoca, capac, little far would be flint, Richmond, casco, fair haven, new Baltimore, algonac, hardens island.
If I drove "about" 23.66 hours I would be in Detroit if taking another route.. Close to that could be new port, Monroe, Luna pier, Erie, lambertville,Ida, Dundee, Riga, blissfield, palmyra, sand creek-sounds like no rocks! Adrian, britton, Petersburg. You get where this is going..
Basically for me to hit Michigan as per the fastest route I'm 23-24 hours per google maps. They're always a little over assuming you drive 5-10 under the limit so this is where I stand.
Does this help anyone who knows Michigan? Lol I suspect it's at least in this area
