Not sure I know what that is?

Ford dealer contacts the GM dealer. You trade it into Ford dealer and then GM dealer picks your up and pays the Ford dealer the agreed trade-in amount. Trade-in amount is passes on to you. Basically Ford has an immediate buyer for your trade-in and just a little paperwork to move it. For me it had tax advantages when the truck is a business write-off.

I like this list! There were a few things on here I didn't know. Is there a "master list" like this, or just one of the things I need to learn as a newbie?

But as an update, I am still moving forward towards the Raptor. Tomorrow I get my trade appraised. I know what the GM dealership quoted it, so I need them to at least meet that. A little nervous they will come in low, but we will see. If they are at least even, then I'm 98% sure I'll pull the trigger.

You gotta make the right decision for you man. Hope it all works out whatever you go with. The list was out of my head from arguing this shit all the time with dumb **** truck owners that regurgitate that crap all the time. Good luck.

So far, nothing. I keep swaying back and forth. I was ready to buy it, then I swung back and decided to get a regular truck and pocket the ~15k+ difference.

Now I just don't know. Not thrilled with the regular trucks, not thrilled with the idea of what else I could spend that $15k+ on, such as a larger barn to work in.

Dude you shouldn't be allowed to buy the Raptor just for comparing it to an H3. All I've ever owned was GM and I love them but H3's were garbage. You can compare a Raptor to an H1 though and that would be acceptable.

Seriously though I was going through the same thing. I love the new Sierra's but the idea of what the Raptor can do off-road is what completely sold me on the truck.

I didn't call it an H3, one of my buddies did, when I told him I was looking at the Raptors.

I really want the Raptor, but with Chevy truck month, and no area to go off roading around here, it's becoming a tough sell to myself...mainly because of the ever increasing price delta between the two.

Consider the residual value of the Raptor and go get you one. You're gonna be kickin' yourself every time you see one going down the road turning heads. Your Chevy isn't going to do that for you.

The residual value is a factor in my decision. I just need to convince myself I can do without that 12k'ish for awhile and delay some of my other projects for a little bit
