That's a good price! I had a 5.4 in mine and it was a wonderful motor. 6.2 does have a little more get-up but nothing too noticeable.

There are a few things you want to look at.
1) skid plates. Make sure they aren't too beat up
2) The back of the cab where it meets the bed. The frame tends to flex when driven hard and the bed will dent the cab.
3) Check the shocks to make sure they are not blown. Extended warranty will not cover the shocks ($1200 for the pair) and I have seen a bunch blown before 50,000 miles. The rear isn't really noticeable unless you pull the shocks off.

Most everything else should be covered under the extended warranty and I think the deductible is $100.00. IF it isn't covered call Jarrett at RPG and he can get you something better than stock :peace:

I second the shocks, ours were blown too and it wasn't even close to 35k miles. I believe the frame was bent too but I have to ask my husband. The RPG guy's fixed it up though when he went in for his stage something or another kit.

I have a friend who will check it out and he said he can do a compression test for $50 so I think as long as it checks out I'll be a proud raptor owner soon

used raptor

If you have seen it visually I think its a great deal, the guy stated it was used for what its was intended not abused its for sale on ebay, I thought about buying it to beat it looks good. I own a shop and have had a 6.2 and 5.4 I rarely ever at all see late model 5.4 problems if properly maintained. I definitely chose a 5.4 over a 6.2 because I loath gas prices more principal with me.

UPDATE***** so the trade ended up not happening but I did end up selling my car, went to a Porsche dealership and took a look at the owners ford raptor and sure enough I just had to get it! It's a 2010 6.2L fully loaded, moonroof, gps, back up cam the works! Already has an exhaust and intake plus upgraded built in garage door opener. Only had 19k miles on her and got her out the door for $39k with $7k down so I'm pretty happy with the end result... Haven't been able to sleep since all I literally got to do was drive 50 miles home from the dealership and then went to bed lol will post pics tomorrow once I have some day light again. Thanks again for all the insight and welcomes and I'm finally a raptor owner!
