Nice to be part of the Raptor Forum! Today I was looking for information about the Raptor SVT badge on the tailgate. I am wondering why some Raptors have it and some don't. I was also wondering if they all originally had them and people peel them off in parking lots, etc.....Our's did not have one so I got one on EBAY. I just wanted one. I am putting it on today and wanted to see if there were any tips for making sure it stays on. I was surprised to find out it is only a plastic sticker plate....correction, an Expensive plastic sticker plate!:mwah1:

I removed mine along with the 6.2L on the doors. Don't like bragging; if you don't know what it is, I ain't !!

Welcome! The badge on the door should be a sorta 3 dimensional piece of plastic, grey and black in color. Only thing I can suggest is clean the area real good. The back shouldn't be completely flat, it should be contoured to the shape of the tailgate.

When you are about to apply spray the area liberally with a soapy-water mixture. This will allow you to place the emblem on the tailgate, then reposition if needed before you press it down all the way.

Simply very lightly tough it to the tailgate where you want it, reposition it if necessary, then press it firmly on to the paint and hold for a minute or so. This should squeeze out most of the soapy-water, the rest will evaporate.

Remember the carpentry phrase; Measure twice, Cut once. take our time finding where you want the badge as it wont be easy to remove.
