I'm actually experiencing this same issue just recently. Recently took a good hit offroad to the front end but at first I thought rear tire out of balance. Here is exactly what I feel.

- Very faint but constant wobble/bounce/something from rear from 0-50mph+
- even at the lightest take-off you can tell its there on the smoothest road
- on anything more than normal throttle or bad road you wouldnt notice as it seems its just going over bumps
- no vibration in the front; only in the seat do I feel it

The rear axle definitely took a hit about 30mph going over a good size bank (1-2ft deep). However no sound accompanying... no visible issues...

Could it be rear end? pinion gear beat up? bent axle of some sort?

Las Vegas, NV - 9500 miles - 2012 Supercrew

Also I already put new tires on the rear and had them balance.

I always look for the weak point...check your drive shaft...is there a lot of play, could be a bad u joint...this would also cause a vibration and feedback thought the wheel while driving, usually at highway speeds and really becomes noticeable around 45 - 60...

I feel your pain...shit like this drive me crazy...when you start looking and listening...I seems to make it that more mor epronounced...

Do what Dane says, take a drive in another Raptor, one that is mostly stock...

Not sure the best way to know if the ujoint is bad. GoPro cam shows it to turn smooth etc... also checked tires... just cant tell if theres something in the axle or how it would be driveshaft.

ideas?

I know it's along shot but check that the spare is not loose. Mine was and was swinging just enough to notice while driving.

Otherwise it's a remote possibility that the pressure in the rear shocks is off and causing a dead spot in the dampening. (I'm stretching here as I'm no expert in Fox remote shocks).

bounce

First, hello all - glad to find the forum.

I just picked up my Raptor this week and I am experiencing something I perceive as a problem, but am unsure.

The suspension feels odd to me, like there is always a slight bounce - very minor, but consistent - like it is not really dampening the road bumps, rather you hit a small road bump and then the suspension oscillates to hit the next and to start all over again - so it always feels like the vehicle is just slightly bouncing as you drive...

This is a very strange sensation and one I have never experienced before.

Any insight would be appreciate - much thanks.

STS

I have a '13 on order and am curious about this also. The new '12 I test drove did this too.

This is how I would describe a tire needing to be balanced. Start with the simple stuff. I doubt they road force balance the tires at the factory so there could be a wheel/tire combo with some high spots.

I think I am experiencing the same

I have noticed this since I picked up my 2012 Screw in June. I don't notice it much when driving by myself but when I have the wife and kids with me. I really can see there bodies vibrating/shimmying when driving anywhere from 45-65 mph on smooth roads. They don't seem to notice anything but they look like they are sitting in one of those vibrating massage chairs. If I am driving 75-85 mph range it is very bouncy like the tires are not balanced at all

Another thing I have noticed, is when I come to a stop, it feels like the truck is rocking ever so slightly back and forth a few times.

I only have 3800 miles on the truck and these are the only minor concerns I have.....knock on wood.

Anyone else having these issues?

I noticed it coming from a 2011 SCab to 2012 SCrew..

After perch mod, removing swaybar and national springs.. The rolling gallop is gone in my truck.. Think it comes from stock perch is too soft.. Swaybar seems to cause harmonics in front suspension when hitting expansion joints at an angle..

I just got my 2013 Screw 2 weeks ago, and I have this as well.

The truck is 100% stock with 17k miles on it.

Even on perfectly smooth roads I can see my passenger seat vibrating a little bit....

I think I am going to try to do the mid perch + sway bar removal and see what happens, if nothing then I think I'm going to get the deaver springs.

Can anyone else shed some light on this? It's such a subtle vibration / bounce even on completely smooth roads, its never 100% smooth. On bumpy roads the truck rides like a dream, and the faster I go the smoother it is.

I would focus on a few things.

Tire and wheel out of balance, get them road force balance to see if the tire or wheel are out of round.

4 wheel Alignment.

Shocks are they leaking or high mileage they could be ready for a rebuild. On my truck this is what was causing a similar issue.
