I wouldn't call that a hood 'scoop'. Those usually shove air into the engine bay. This is clearly the reverse. It is also clearly 22% more bro-tastic than the Gen2 extractor. So, more street cred down at the Sonic on Friday nights.

I tried removing the scoop but its very difficult.

You really think cutting the small holes into one larger hole would benefit the cooling? After removing the hood heat shield cover there isn't any opening to the scoop. Seems more like a, SIKE we sold you a hood scoop that isn't a hood scoop.

Maybe it will be functional on the R version with the blower sticking out of it, lol.
