Nice what bar in Clifton? I used to frequent "The Rock" on Main Ave when I worked next door.

Formerly "Perico's Bar and Grill" at 709 Van Houten Ave. Soon to become "Clifton City Tavern"

Planning to do a mix of steaks, seafood, Mexican and Latin dishes, late night bar menu, music and a DJ or karaoke some nights....it was once a hopping place, then they changed management and downhill it went....doing to total renovation and rebranding, only one chance to do it right....

keep me posted on when the new place is done NJ2000R. i am only about 45 minutes from there. maybe me and the wife can swing over and support u on one of our "date nights" maybe i can make some of the meets too. would be cool to do a weekend lunch meet too after u are up and running.

Tinton Falls is 61 miles south of me, might have to take Wednesday off and go to the beach for the day....


My wife and I just bought and are in the process of renovating a restaurant and bar in Clifton, NJ so we plan on having events there, even though our parking lot is kind of small, we can make it work....should be open late summer....so we'll have a northern location too....

I can't wait! I'll just park on the side walk... who needs a parking space? lol

Thanks for the support! I will definitely keep everyone posted on progress and of course the grand opening....planning to do different meets there on week nights (car and truck cruise ins, bike night, etc) and weekends too, as restaurants can be one of the toughest businesses to make work, especially in this economy....
