Does SDI have any data on how much this would raise a Gen 1 with the Gen 2 KHC coil bucket conversion? Or the weight difference on the front between the Gen 1 & Gen 2? And why aren't there any pictures of the bottom of these to show how the coil seats against them? Do they not have a soft insulator like oem? Is the part machined to hold the coil in place, so you need to align the stock coil and set the position of the top hat & bottom shock eye in order to actually install the new shock unit?

The Keep it Dirty review indicates that a insulator is included, but the hpbuilt.shop photos show 2 different types. And the profile photo seems to show the part machined on the right side to "stop" the coil, which would mean it doesn't use an insulator. The last photo of the bottom of the hat doesn't appear to show a machined slot to keep the coil in place.

Does anyone know if the SDI top hats will work on a Gen 1 with stock buckets?

I know the Gen 1 and Gen 2's have different buckets. I saw that TSW also makes a top hat as well. However, this one works with all 3 gens of raptors. Link https://tswoffroad.com/product/tsw-...and-bronco-raptor-billet-replacement-top-hat/

Just got me wondering why the SDI one wouldn't work with a Gen 1.

Found the answer to my question and wanted to post it here in case anyone else was thinking the same thing. I asked KeepitDirtyOffroad and this is his response.

"It does not. gen1 geometry is very different. So while the holes will line up, the shock won’t. Gen1 requires those shims to get the angle of the shock at the correct angle to function correctly. But honestly, you don’t need it on a Gen1.

Gen1s have not had this issue at all. And 2, why spend money on a spacer or top hat replacement when you can just adjust to top mid or top perch on the shock to get the same effect. The only way the top hat can be used is if you chop off the stock bucket and do the aftermarket bucket to support the longer shocks from the gen2. The new shock bucket corrects the angle of the bucket to support the longer shocks and will work".

Yup. That's exactly my plan. KHC buckets, 2017 Gen 2 shocks & springs, (with those SVC coil adjusters set to "stock" height), the SDI top hat, and the extended angle axles. Oh, and money. lots and lots of money.

Can anyone confirm that these can go on the Gen 4's, more specifically the Raptor R's...

Got the answer straight from SDI. They will indeed fit

They fit on all. I’d be interested to see how much height you pick up on the R though. SDi told me 1.25” on the 35 Gen 3, but I think the 37pp’s pickup a bit more since they have some additional preload from the factory.

On top of the additional preload, the R has stiffer front springs, so I wonder what it’ll end up at?
