So.. hmmm.. are you saying that factory installed projector headlights are the only HID lights that are legal & that the light beam doesn't escape from them & cause problems to oncoming drivers? What about all of the earlier factory HID's that were not the newer projector style of headlamp/housing? There are plenty of cars that have them & I see them on the road everyday, does that make them illegal or is it just when we install aftermarket HID kits?

I have no idea where you live, so i have no idea what is legal there, I am simply saying what is legal here. If you ALTER your headlights and fit HID lamps in a halogen headlight , you my friend are breaking the law. If your car, truck, motorcycle or whatever had factory installed lights, then they are legal

I asked my neighbor when I brought my truck home what i should do to get the brightest lights out of my truck. He told me then what was and was not legal here. For me personally i cannot see worth a damn at night, so this was the first mod i did to my Rig

If you can't see at night doesn't the tint on the side windows screw with your night vision? I'm in the same boat, can't see for spit at night and because of that I never considered tinting the windows a plausible option.

Actually no surprising but the tint does not effect my vision at all

This is a ****** pic but the interior led lights light up so bright that it looks like the cockpit of an airplane. I love them.

Who said you have to spend that kinda dough to have Retrofitted lights?? Ducati does great work and from what I hear, only a week or two out from the time you order. Do your homework and grow the balls if your trying to economize. You'll better understand what kind of light output comes from projectors even compared to your drop ins. Not just where the light output goes either, but how evenly distributed the light output becomes. Nice upgrade regardless the route you taken but I have done a couple retrofits with a paralyzed arm, granted the new style f-150's are "permanently shut therefor I MIGHT need the extra hand to get them opened. But it's not hard what so ever. Just takes the time and the patience. Unfortunately, a lot of our time costs$$ but in a weekend it can be done if you apply yourself. My first set took me 10 hours because of my arm and being careful. The second set took me 7 hours ! Betweent drying and reinstalling on the vehicle as complete 24hours with the drying process. SUX that we have to be stereo typed on the prices because of our vehicle type, just wanna say one thing that a lot forget......we all can afford most of anything these days with a typical budget and an alright paying job......and the ones that did save up for a nice vehicle like we have more than likely wont wanna budget in some headlights rather than a quick fix (drop ins). You can find the projectors at TheRetrofitSource.com and go from there to hidplanet.net to get some insight if it's that big of a deal with your drop ins........should try it, actually kinda fun. TRS is always a phone call away if you have any troubles.
At the end of the day, you get what you pay for and Ducati is one to make sure of that!

Just trying to help Ducati, sorry if at all I offended your services, wasn't my point intended. It's just Most that can afford or can see themselves spending the money on a retrofit upgrade would, but there is a percentage that would rather spend that cash on another mod. Just giving options and trying to help

Hey guys I don't want to start the thing up about the refits cause people to get hurt again, but I wanted to share the link to these lights I just got. It is a very high quality package with a lifetime warranty on the entire kit with free shipping. I went with the 4300k tempeture.

http://xenonhidconversionkit.com/f-...s-ballast-55w-for-ford-f-150-svt-raptor-2011/

$110 for the entire kit. The light pattern at 65' is almost identical to factory pattern. I might adjust them down slightly if needed but so far no issues.
