We got the steel prototype in today...

Looks pretty sharp. Since I would only rest my foot on this peddle it really doesn't require ridges for better contact as brake and gas peddle would require. Your really on the right trail here.

Why not just coat this in LineX or similar? Probably more cost, but then you don't have to worry about scratches or the finish wearing etc. It would also negate the need for rubber nubs or ridges etc.

The finish we have picked out would be very similar to linex. It is a baked on powdercoat with heavy texture that would definitely limit any slipping.

The finish in the photo is just plastidip that we had in the shop, it is not the real stuff.

It was back a few post but basically, they do not have the tooling for the dimples.
I would also like to see them dimpled if possible.

yes i seen that so they would need to buy equipment or out source raising the cost. that was the reasoning for the grip Finnish but some want dimples and some don't care so i was saying offer both and those that want dimples can pay the extra cost and those that don't will pay less.
