Thanks gents. Is ceramic coating with a few grand or is it a waste of money on an off-road truck like this? My colleague had his Trackhawk ceramic coated and is trying to talk me into it. Seems like a lot of money for not much return. A good quality polish and wax should protect the paint and keep it glossy, no?
Welcome Aboard! Nice Truck.

My two cents on ceramic. You can do it yourself if you have the space and have a day or two. I personally use Adam's Graphene Ceramic Coating (Advanced). Avalanche is a forgiving color for paint correction unlike some of the darker colors (my black Explorer takes more correction). Prep the paint (Iron remover, clay bar, compound (if needed), polish, etc.) and then apply the coating. Your only in a few hundred bucks and still have product left over. I have friends that have paid thousands for ceramic coating and I can't tell the difference and I have the satisfaction of doing it myself. Not knocking anyone who gets it done but I need the extra gas money.

Thanks guys. Looking at lighting upgrades for the beast, also got the Weathertech window louvers ready to go in. May also do a tune once the tuners unlock the 2024 ECU. I can’t stand that auto stop/start feature!

Just noticed this post and realize it's a bit older but wanted to chime in.. VERY nice looking truck. I have a new 2024 (35") as well and I agree with you about the tuning. I bought a new Gen2 back in 2018 and added the MPT Tune and it was an ENORMOUS improvement.. especially on the 93oct fuel we have readily available where I live. Before selling my 2018, for a short time I had both on hand and could drive (back to back). My Gen2 would absolutely BLOW THE DOORS off my Gen 3.. That tune just makes the truck feel like it lost 2000lbs or something.

My "R" is finally set to arrive in about a month so I'll be selling this 35 truck (2024 Avalanche with only 4100miles if anyone is looking;) when the R arrives so the tune is not an issue any longer, but I'm with you.. If I were keeping this thing, I'd be jumping on that the moment one of the big boy shops (trusted!) release it. The thing will be incredible once that's done.

Again, great looking truck. My R is the new "Space White" but I really love the tint you decided on and think it'll be great for the Space White too. Thanks for sharing.
