i spent some time building engines @ speed-o-motive back in the early 2000s. we did 383s and 540s mostly but we did some V6s... i get the idea of economy, but when you purchase a truck like this you openly throw that out the window. and then you say i like the TT but i really wish the option of 37s. so then you really dont care about MPG. BUT IT HAS THE TORQUE CURVE OF A DIESEL. a v8 naturally due to it displacement can naturally produce the numbers we want. asking a smaller motor on steroids to do the same on paper looks right but your asking so much from a smaller package. LIKE I SAID, THIS IS A GREAT TRUCK FOR THE STREET QUEEN MARKET. Livernois is gonna get some biz i guess then.
also if your bitching about the MPG but then bitch about not having 37s, you dont get it.
No one is bitching about fuel economy in the Raptor except the EPA. We all know if you buy a Raptor youre going to pay up for fuel and thats fine. The EPA doesnt think thats fine and Ford is FORCED to make it more fuel efficient. If you knew how the standards of the fleet ave. mpg worked you would understand why Ford is pressed to make the Raptor more fuel efficient even though Im sure they really dont want to but in this case they HAVE to.
