I just hope everyone can get along, the old v8 dudes and the new Ecoboost v6 TT guys. Its a Raptor, its badass and Ford cant please EVERYONE.

If the EPA didnt get into any of this the ecoboost probably wouldnt exist, but here we are. Ford isnt 'droppping' the ball, they are abiding by government guidelines which is #1 or the truck wouldnt exist.

Someone asked why the marker lights are on the fenders; they are mandated by the government because the vehicle is so wide thats why they are there. See how this all works? Government first, customers second.

People thinking their 6.2's will outrun the Eco v6? Not a snowballs chance in hell. Remember this is a NEW Ecoboost v6, not the current one. The new truck is lighter with more power. Shelby Raptor or Roush? Sure itll be faster but it doesnt take much more than some intake bits, exhaust bits, and a tune to make a turbo motor explode with extra power.

Im glad I held off on the 14' for the 17' to be 100% honest.

I think we are looking at $70,000.

I am clinging to the hope that the Raptor wasn't always the most expensive trim line.

A loaded 2015 Platinum is $60k so I can see this being $63k with options but $70k is just crazy.

The 2014 Platinum 4x4 crew started at $54k
The 2014 Raptor crew started at $48k

Mind you if you loaded up each they both ring in around $55k (minus the Raptor special edition pkg). So I am very hopeful that the new one will be $60k matching the loaded 2015 Platinum.

This is a pre production truck, we will have to wait till production details to know what options from the F150's are going to make it over and which are left out.

It was meant as a joke. Everyone is ranting on about the engine, drivetrain and suspension, that I felt it would be comical to complain about the cup holder lighting. I failed miserably.

Let me get back to work.

I don't think I ever saw a Raptor on a lot for less that $55,000 (sticker). That probably won't change. Same trim kits, higher-end, etc I bet.

You would think Ford would have the pass through wires connected from the get go, and numbered, so you know which is which. The majority of us, use our Aux switches for our outside lighting needs.

He's referring to the wiring below the glove box.

It wasn't that bad... however I made one of my techs do it. He's a 6'6" guy and he had everything spliced, connected and shrunk wrapped in about 15 minutes, overall not bad - so he says. I stood around and drank some coffee. So make it as small as you want, Ford, I'll continue to have others do it for me :ROFLJest:

One thing about the aux switches in the headliner is if you accidentally leave your moonroof open (which my ******* has done a couple times) and it snows/rains etc. you will have more than a sagging headliner and new double-backed velcro to reapply.

I wouldn't worry about the switches with rain. Heck I left the top down on my 2010 mustang get convertible over ft a few times in rainstorms. Once I dried it out never a problem.

So SVT is gone forever?

I was thinking maybe the raptor would enter fords normal line then we might have a SVT version with the twin turbo v8

And a 4 link and 1000HP :)
