Thanks fellas! I have just at 1,000 miles on this thing and 200 plus have seen some good terrain. Not really jumps and such, but rough drops, some lift areas, but overall beat you out of a F150 FX4 situation. Happy as can be. I have some more light changes to run then like I said it is all about lighting. The Raptor is so much more than a std F150 that I am pleased with the performance (always want 50hp more), like the innovation and technology, but with anything, I can't leave it alone. Anymore I am about reliability. Guess being a tech for 10 years made me that way.

The products I have purchased for the Raptor to date have been acceptable in my world. Which is likely more than most as I am picky about fit and function, blend, and such.

If towing wasn't a issue for me I would likely have raised the front, added some bump stops, and went that route (more fun for sure), but I gotta work it a bit along the way.

The long travel air bag set up is just not for me. Cool, but not for me. I think Daystar and the owner that owns a Raptor himself, pulls a car hauler has me in the right direction.
I hope to add some good info with a few products I have coming in by this weekend. Should be interesting what actually works out for me as many have the same desires that own a Raptor.

Two things I have learned to date:
Chicks and dudes dig it like no other.
It likes gas stations if you drive it like you should.
What is not to love about that.

I have a little story that I will keep short. Diesels pickups produce big power these days. No one can deny that. Althought I am a big fan of power, I am a bigger fan of function and general pickup use.
Long story short, buddy has a truck that has mega power, torque (and I mean a lot!!!). He has some suspension as well. Nice truck, nicely put together, a lot of toys, but won't hold a candle next to a Raptor in general use.
40 miles of sand river bottom, and I beat him by 4 minutes, can tow my trailer equal at this point, and don't have to have a step stool to get my big butt into the seat. Let's just say he is looking at the other Raptor I had my eye on for a toy. Then it is up to whoever has the bigger checkbook and balls to replace parts! LOLOL.

Well, I got home this evening and boxes were setting by the back door.......

Let's get to work.

First, Daystar and Firestone........Looks great, but bottom bracket off Firestone kit that holds the Daystar cradle doesn't clear shock, close but no dice. Will need to be slightly notched out.
Now after studying this for some time, it looks good, function should be spot on.
Will phone in the am and see what the owner of Daystar did to the 2525 kit as to what I am seeing.

Super springs. Had them pretty much on, but the front crossbolt looks very close to the frame. Even if it flexes up .75" it looks as there will be contact. Not cool, what if I decide to rock this thing like you boys do? It's gonna hit and hit hard.

Pretty sure Daystar and Firestone have the setup for me, but it is not just a bolt on set up. Gotta trim the bracket, then......I think we are good to go.

More to come.....................

Set the supersprings aside and notched out the lower bracket on the 2525 Firestone kit.
Couldn't find the time to get it installed this evening.

I really think this kit will work out for my use.

I pulled a fair load on a 18' flatbed trailer this weekend w/o anything. Had about 1.25" to the bump stops. Truck handled it great.

Think the bag system will put me right where I want to be with about 40lbs in them on most loads.
