NEED HELP: NY registration problems

You guys in NY are lucky. Out west, most states we pay “ownership tax”. In other words it’s around $1,200 a year for registration!

Why is that, is it because it's registered as an Off-road vehicle?

Unless you live in California, our income taxes (both state and city) and property taxes would make yours look like registration fees in comparison.

Not to mention insurance!!!
