Just installed the Nation Spring HD's and I was concerned about the ride quality when the truck was not loaded, but I have to say I am really pleased with the ride, barley notice the difference. However when I load up the back where I used to be able to feel the bump stops hitting, now it is a softer ride! I would highly recommend these spring for any one looking to upgrade!

Thank you for the post. It's weird that national springs which has more leafs (when compared to stock springs) are actually softer. I imagine being softer makes your rear shocks work more.

Anyhow, you mentioned that with a load in your bed, you are on your bump stops all the time. I have heard similar reports. Some have even said go with HDs to avoid being on your bumps when your bed is loaded. But with an empty bed, HDs spring ride pretty stiff. And hence the dilemma.

The Ride quality Unloaded - I barely notice a difference, not stiff at all!
As for loaded - the Ride is better because I am not hitting the bump stops.

If you get the National HD's you will be pleased.

My HDs are getting installed as I write this!

A little stiff ride while unloaded is fine with me and should still be better than the ride I had with my old Dodge 2500. A bed rack with some spares and goodies should remedy any issues.

Stupid Question: I got a Stage 3 but my springs don't have the National Stickers on there. How do I know they are real Nationals?

If they came from us they are real nationals. With weekly pick ups from national some times in the mix of a time crunch they mistakenly forget to apply the stickers after paint is applied

I'm in the market for new springs and Deaver seems to have more options. Though I can't really tell the difference between Deaver and National. Hope someone here have an idea.

Call RPG and tell them what you want and I'm sure it won't be an issue to have it made. I've had both Deavers and Nationals and I really like my Nationals :waytogo:
