because that would mean i would have to turn my key on. and im too lazy. even then, it doesnt light up the man step.

I bet just two of those tailgate lights would work there and you can't run a separate or bypass switch to those lights? Like a three way light in a house? One light and multiple switches to work it?

so while hunting a couple weeks ago, we set up camp in the sierras. i happen to arrive about 10:30 pm and had to set up camp. there were no lights as this was a primitive campground. while the bed lights did great at keeping the bed lit up, and the hood lights made for a good spot to set up my tent, i could not see the ground under the tailgate. i came around the back of the truck and my shin hit the tailgate step. didnt feel good, and we had a lot of walking to do the next day. lets just say it wasnt as fun as hunting should be. so after something bad happens, you go look for a fix. well here is my fix for that.
