Mass air flow correlation error caused by aftermarket cold air intake. No other problems found and running perfectly.

HORSE SHIT!

He said, it starts fine and runs great.. Been in shop all morning and cranks everytime..

Told him of course it does when it sits in a warm shop.. Let it sit outside and get cold soaked then start it.

Jackasses... Lazy.. Oh its the aftermarket intake.. Blah.. Blah.. Blah..

-Greg

I guess you are "in the system" now and will have a hard time getting taken seriously by other lazy dealership?

They will pull the OASIS, crank it fine and tell you the same BS!

If they give it back and basically tell me I am full of shit. The truck will be sitting in their lobby, right on top of the roush mustang!

Coolant is a little low but it is in normal range..

Aftermarket parts still let on truck (like it matter) tie rods, hid headlights, rpg stage 3, top perch, uca, negative offset wheels.. NO ENGINE MODS

What else is left aftermarket on your truck powertrain wise? Exhaust? I'd expect them to at least figure out the problem first before pointing at aftermarket parts. Kinda hard to point at aftermarket parts causing the problem when you don't even know what's wrong with it.

Greg,

Great point from Pirate...the dealer is just throwing out shit and seeing what sticks...

Good luck bud,

Fred

My wife's Escape had a problem with almost identical symptoms. Turned out the upper catalytic converter fell apart and was clogging the exhaust via the lower cat. Our Raptor's don't have the dual cat setup, so definitely not exactly the same.

Next thing is going to be the retrofit headlights caused a drain on the electrical system frying the mass air sensor..

I just want to know what is wrong, fix it (with or without warranty) and get my truck back..

I feel like this is going to end up being something really random, but a simple/easy fix

The question is: is coolant getting lower?
If you can smell it, but not see it, it has to go somewhere.
Hot it evaporates, colt it condensates; if it condensates and there are below freezing temperatures there will be ice.

This is what I ran into. And Greg is at the same point I was at. Don't give a Shit about the warranty, what's causing the real problem. Very frustrating.

Greg, do you have the stock air intake to put back on? Pick up your truck, put the stock back on, and over night drop it off at the dealership right in front of the entrance to the show room floor. Then when they go to move it, they will see what the problem is.
