does your “attorney buddy” practice in the field or something unrelated?

I know at least 2 states - MD and VA where this is true. It was central in my suit. So, now that you've accused me of spreading false information, read my post again: in relevant part... under some, perhaps most or all, I’m not familiar with all 50

Many of the “lemon law” statutes were based on ‘model’ legislation, and put forward to various state legilature ‘legislative drafting bodies’. Each state and the Fed has these. They’re not legislators, they glorified archivists and librarians who collect and organize various bill language and when asked they pull it up, send to a legislator for them to “sign” and introduce as a bill. Sometimes it’s correct, sometimes it’s not, sometimes it’s way off the legislator’s central topic. I’ve seen state interactions with these teams, and they’re just as partisan. I once saw an office ask for language for state level firearm preemption and they got a gun control bill back, which the assemblyman -now a prominent figure with DHS, hailing from NJ, introduced allegedly without reading. He then made a big hullabaloo about the team who ‘drafts the bills’, wouldn’t accept responsibility for signing and introducing without reading it and then withdrew the bill.

So, if you were to read some of the lemon laws you would see a lot of common ‘phraseology’ or language in them.
Yes, his firm has done several lemon law disputes. Civil firm with lots of consumer dispute work like construction defect, warranty claims, product liability etc. He's who helped me with my claim against GMC. He just told me about a case he wrapped up against Mercedes. Guy bought a 150k S coupe and the dash kept going out. Benz tried to do everything but replace the entire dash (which is a huge screen if you've seen the new ones). They finally replaced the dash, but then scratched/marred the leather and ebony trim in several spots. Client hit the ceiling, obviously. He brought a claim against Benz and ended up settling just before trial for his fees, the entire cost of the car PLUS his client got to keep the car. This is in CO. OP is in CO. MD and VA are not CO, so your suit was predicated on a different state's law.

Thanks for the reference, I am equal distance to either Medved or Groove, so I'll take it to Groove when needed.

IMO all depends on the service advisor you get too.

The one I work with I've known for 13+ years.

As long as I call ahead to set an appointment, I can get a loaner even if it's something like a front diff oil change at no added cost.

Why not just rent something decent to drive while your Raptor is being repaired? Car rentals are cheap as hell, especially right now. Why drive an Ecosport or some dinky POS simply because it's free?

You could probably rent a really nice vehicle for fully 10% of the time you own your Raptor and it'll still be *far* cheaper than a Audi version of it would be. If the Raptor was German, it'd cost at least $100K.

That’s right and why I disclaimed the post in the first place, so in fact, I was not wrong or providing wrong info about the lemon law, rather I was hoping 1) it wouldn’t come to that for OP and 2) check if the loaner would implicate the duration to bring a successful suit, that hopefully will never happen.

A good and long lasting relationship with a S/M is great. S/A is not quite as good, but can help. I just wish that I could do that, it seems the ones at my previous dealer kept changing out jobs. I don’t think these are bad people, but I’ve definitely seen them get a little lazy. I need to find another one anyway since the move.

Maybe in Ohio. This is a tourist destination in the summer and we have crowds of them, covid or not. I checked around a bit and didn't find anything fun for cheap. At least I have wheels. Now I'm trying to learn patience. :)

And it goes on. I asked the SA yesterday whether the part that he said was scheduled to ship on 8/11 was shipping on schedule. He said that some parts, one of which may or may not be earmarked for me, may have gone to packaging, and if they did and if I get one it would be .... wait for it .... about two weeks. I'm starting the think that two weeks is the standard response meaning long fvcking time because it's kinda far out but still soon enough to sit for. At this point, it's been two weeks, two weeks, and two weeks if I'm lucky. And I'm not feeling lucky. I've got another call in to Customer Service. I've expressed my disappointment and pointed out that Ford is shipping Raptors, many of which will be sitting on lots for months while a customer who bought one waits and waits and waits for them to fix a problem that shouldn't have made it out of the factory. They have the parts and they're choosing to make me wait. I threw out four options. Fix it, replace it, loan me something comparable, or refund me. I could live with an F-150 loaner, so that I can go on some planned trips, but I'm thinking it's 50-50 between that and they tell me to **** up a rope. So I'm going back and documenting the whole mess in case I need to get a lawyer involved. What a royal PITA.

Fordpass just popped up with an error message. Engine control system has received an unexpected response from one of the emissions control valves when control module commands it. Wants me to schedule service. I wonder if this could be due to low battery? I got the low battery shutdown message two weeks ago.
