I drove up a small, but kinda steep pile of dirt at a new development, and when I got to the top the truck shut off and it also said low oil pressure. Rolled to the bottom and it started back up fine. Still havnt figured it out, guys race up an down sand dunes with no problems...

Which oil filter's on your Raptor?

I hear that high octane fuel is thinner and therefore runs to the fuel pickup in the tank more easily. I'm going to have to quit buying 87 octane regular and spend the extra for the premium gas.

Just read this thread, now I know where the bdrag corner came from. Good stuff.

Did you ever find out why the truck died?

And now Greg's truck died in a turn.

Mine died today in a hard straight ahead braking situation. I was just about at full stop and it died. Anyone have any reasonable answers to this yet??

Ran out of gas?? Lol
I know my 6.2 idles rough and sounds like it might die at times, never has though...... I wonder if this can be due to the lobe in the camshaft causing the motor to starve once in a bind, ect....??
Stock engines idle very smooth as opposed to an engine with a larger camshaft (6.2) which will starve for fuel a little at idle.
Just a thought that might better point ALL OF US. Then again, might be off track but every thought counts. Only thing that makes sense to me. Makes me wanna purchase a security camera! Just in case something more serious was to really happen...... I know Fords excuses! "we can't re-create it"
